The Average Single Person Now Dates Six People at Once

November 29, 2016

Apparently single people today are a LOT better at multitasking than they used to be.

According to a new study by eHarmony, the average single person now dates SIX people at the same time. Apparently online dating, Tinder, and social media have made it a hell of a lot easier to find tons of people to date.

If you are dating all of these people at once, then how is it that they don’t find out about each other?

Well . . . the study used the modern definition of “dating,” which doesn’t actually mean “going on dates.”  It can just mean you’re texting with someone for a while and you rarely hang out in person.  So that does make it easier to juggle six people.

And, since dating six people would mean lots of breakups, more and more people are just skipping that step and GHOSTING . . . meaning they just stop texting you.

64% of single people say that they’ve recently been dating someone who just VANISHED and totally stopped communicating with them.

5 Ways to Tell if Someone is Lying to You

November 14, 2016

Do you hate being lied too? I think everyone does. Unfortunately it seems to happen a lot, and in all kinds of situations. Not everyone can have a lie detector test on them at all time to catch someone in the act, but you can look for signs that someone might be lying too you.  Here are 5 Ways to Tell if Someone is Lying to You.

1. Look for Facial Expressions

The face is usually the first place that reflects a person’s true personality. When a person is happy or sad, it shows on his or her entire face. When telling lies, micro-expressions appear for a fraction of a second and reveal the person’s true character.

2. Notice Body Language

A person who is lying usually uses his or her hands to touch their nose, pull up socks, wipe away sweat, tug on his or her clothes or rub their lips. Another thing to watch out for is that a liar does not typically sit up straight while telling the lie. He or she might feel a bit uncomfortable sitting in the same position and might even fidget or fuss for no reason.

3. Change in Voice Tone

Closely observe the voice or tone of the person you think is lying. Any changes in voice (i.e. slower or faster-than-normal speech patterns) indicate dishonesty. Stammering or stuttering may also point to a lie.

4. Proclaims Honesty Repeatedly

A liar often repeats phrases to emphasize the validity of his statements. Frequently used phrases like “to be honest”, “believe me”, and “to tell the truth” are often clear-cut indications that there is something wrong in the story. Most people don’t use these statements so often.

5. Notice the Pause

When a liar is making up a story to cover the truth, you may notice the person taking a long pause so that he or she can create a sequence of events. This only happens when they are asked a question for which they didn’t prepare an answer beforehand. A liar usually makes up the events as he or she talks.

These are just some ways to tell if a person is lying. So if you ever feel like someone is stretching the truth or not begging honest, then look for these signs for the answer. But the truth is, something MAY be holding back your love life . . . but it’s not your cat.

Half of men say they have no problem dating someone with a cat . . . 25% really like when a woman owns a cat . . . and 10% say a cat would actually make them MORE excited to date someone.

How to Kick the Common Cold or Flu

October 06, 2016

It’s that time of year again when everyone gets the nasty coughing, Sore throat, stuffed up and runny noise Common Cold. Here are some easy tricks to get relief from any Cold or Flu like symptoms.

1: Hot Ginger Tea

I found that Ginger tea works best for a cold or flu like symptoms. The ginger is warming and just a little spicy, some people find it delicious and some don’t really care for the taste, but it  can really help relieve congestion.

2:Essential Steam

One almost instant fix for a stuffy nose is to steam it out. This at house remedy feels amazing and releases pressure from your sinuses. Just filling a bowl with a hot water and adding an essential oil can really make a difference, Hot steam showers work just as well.

3: Chest Salve or Vapor Rub

You can make your own at home Vapor rub, just another way to get rid of congestion. Store bought Vapor Rub works too, but I found that this at home recipe works a little better.

You will need…

-1/2 cup of coconut oil
-15 drops of peppermint essential oil
-An airtight container

Over a double boiler, melt down the coconut oil. Remove from the heat and pour it into a heat safe airtight container. Add the essential oils, stir, and seal off while it cools. Once it has completely cooled, simply rub a little on your chest or under your nose (be careful not touch your eyes-I have rubbed peppermint essential oil in my eye before and it is not pleasant!) This will keep in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight up to 3 years.

4: Gargle With Warm Salt Water

This is perfect for a sore throat, although it is not the best tasting thing in the world it really does work wonders. It moistens your sore or scratchy throat and brings temporary relief. Try a half teaspoon of salt dissolved in 8 ounces of warm water four times a day.
